Traditional Art / Mixed Media

Created for a current University project Ive just begun on spirituality.
Our scanner didnt like many of the next pieces so I apologise for their blinding whiteness and lack of detail..

Created with gouache, chalks, gel pens and pencil crayons.

At first it looked to me like a lake next to a golden cornfield, but actually it looks much bigger, like a forest reflected in the lake, and a shooting start passing over the trees. Those blues and yellows are pure visual pleasure!

I think the media helped alot with the overall look of this one, as chalks tend to give a soft texture and blend easier than paint.

Hey Ham, just lookin' through your older stuff, hehe. I love this; it's so magical... I could get lost in it. It's like ice caves or the entrance to an underground lake, at either sunrise or sunset... it looks somehow like both day AND night. Wah, there's just too much to write about it!! lol
