Good morning starshine.. by syxx Good morning starshine.. by syxx
Created for a current University project Ive just begun on spirituality.
Our scanner didnt like many of the next pieces so I apologise for their blinding whiteness and lack of detail..

Created with gouache, chalks, gel pens and pencil crayons.

At first it looked to me like a lake next to a golden cornfield, but actually it looks much bigger, like a forest reflected in the lake, and a shooting start passing over the trees. Those blues and yellows are pure visual pleasure!

I feel flattered, thank you so much for your wonderful input once again :w00t: I think the media helped alot with the overall look of this one, as chalks tend to give a soft texture and blend easier than paint.

Hey Ham, just lookin' through your older stuff, hehe. I love this; it's so magical... I could get lost in it. It's like ice caves or the entrance to an underground lake, at either sunrise or sunset... it looks somehow like both day AND night. Wah, there's just too much to write about it!! lol

FAV! (thought I'd already added as a fav actually! )

This picture seems to move..... The blue hues seem like reflections on water just before sunrise. I know that sounds cheesy, but it's what i thought. I can 'hear' this picture too, if you know what I mean...

I know exactly what you mean. I usually get sounds and even tastes from images when I create them sometimes...so dont worry :giggle:

I bet this is richer in real life, it must be, :+fav: I can see what it would look like if it were richer in color. That's something I've never done before. Nice!

Thankyou so much friend, this does have a more textural feel in real life. Im glad its given you a kind of technicolour freak out being able to imagine it if it were in colour hehe! Very cool!

To say that scanner has supposedly fudged this piece up, i think it looks amazing - so don't worry about the lack of detail! It's as though a shooting star is heading for a resting place and along the way spreading a trail of beauty in it's path... CORNY! :giggle:
Still, lovely use of colours a space. Purple + yellow =
