Ive been asked to show the more negative side in my Greenpeace project thats raising awareness to the logging in Indonesia thats decreasing the Orangutans habitat.
I decieded to try and show a before and after type of story. I thought to myself, "do the orangutans ever get angry about what were doing?" So I depicted my thoughts here.
This time the Orangutan is accompanied by a Toucan who shared the tree he lived in. They both look on in disbelief of how humans could be so thoughtless.
Of course I plan to colour this one, I imagine some type of blood red and blacked out sky from polluted clouds.
The bird idea fits the subject perfectly. The orangutan seems very dissatisfied and full of rage which is obvious but the tucan gives a slight part of sadness that comes from destroying. Another point for you on fitting into the Greenpeace idea.

Today is the right time to ask yourself: Hey! Did I do anything that could make me feel at least like a sort of being?
I love the bird, Hornbill or Toucan was it? He looks so cute, I think it's the big beak that makes you feel all mushy for the lil' fella!
Extra kudos for being able to draw the Orang's body structure so well
Great inkwork, I love the splattered effects you've given these pieces...shows the whole destruction part of the project.

"A shark attack is if youre chilling at home, sitting on your couch, and a shark comes in and bites you; now thats a shark attack. Now, if youre chilling in the water, that is called invasion of space. So I have never heard of a shark attack."
Thankies!! Yeah, it does add to the destruction look of it doesnt it? :d I didnt think of that.
I think this lil guy is supposed to be a Toucan. Thats what I drew him as anyways, whether or not you can actually find Toucans in Indonesia is another story LOL!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
